On Tuesday we will focus on colonial trades, the professions people had in the 17th century. There were many professions we no longer see people doing or crafts that are done by machines now. We will be talking about what professions people did in the Hudson River Valley and trying some of our own crafts. 6-8 year olds will learn about the fur trade and play our trade game. 9-12 year olds will have a hands on demonstration of tinsmithing by our resident tinsmith, learning about how tinsmiths worked and the materials they used. We will also have games, storytelling, snacks and other hands on activities during the morning.
