Shakespeare for Kids

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 07/28/2017
A tragedy is on and deck and it's a doozy! Considered on of the most important stage tragedies ever created, King lear is filled with greed, combat, love, deceit, jealousy, murder, and madness, and it's populated with complex characters that actors have loved to play since the first known performance in 1606. Join us this summer in an abridged 90 minute performing edition of King Lear, with a public presentation on the last day of class. Come join us for this exciting opportunity, whether you've been in one of Paul Sigrist's Shakespeare classes in the past or you're exploring Shakespeare for the first time. HMT endorses color blind/gender-blind casting.
