Help Support The Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, Inc. promotes the health, development and well being of children and their families. They accomplish this through the Ronald McDonald House, a home away from home for families of seriously ill children, and by creating and supporting programs that directly improve the lives of children and their families. In the beginning of 2014, one of our granddaughters spent four months at the Denver Ronald McDonald House while recuperating from a fetal surgery. During this time, our family became aware of this wonderful charity and saw first hand how many children were helped and blessed by their assistance. We would like to help them continue in their mission so we are donating part of every race registration to the to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, Inc. This year will be our 32nd year inviting families to our farm for the Pumpkin Patch. Four years ago we started a new tradition: a 5k Mud Run around the perimeter of the Pumpkin Patch. Participants climbed steep inclines using ropes, crossed multiple pits full of mud, scrambled over hay bales, treaded through tire piles, and escaped "webs" of bungee cords. With all the positive responses we had afterward, we began almost immediately planning this year's course.
