It’s a community wide celebration! It’s an international springtime party! It's nearly time for Rochester’s annual Lilac Festival and everyone is invited to enjoy ten full days of entertainment and fun!
LILAC PARADE
Saturday May 9, 10:30am
More than 2,500 participants, including 20 marching bands, dancers, costumed characters, and the popular Damascus mini cars are what makes parade day one of the most special times at the Rochester Lilac Festival.
PARADE VIEWING
- The Lilac Parade begins on South Avenue at Science Parkway, then travels north on South Avenue to Highland Avenue where it turns south past the lilac gardens before ending at the corner of Highland Avenue and Goodman Street.
- For those unable to attend, the Lilac Parade is televised live on Time Warner Cable News. Please check your local listings for the channel in your area.
- Bleacher seating is located next to the grand stand on Highland Avenue.
- Reserved Seating is available for large groups. More

Weekend Shuttle Service begins at 8:30am on Lilac Parade Day.More
Parking is available at the three Lilac Festival Parking Lots. More
The Rochester Lilac Festival offers affordable family fun. Each year a portion of the park is transformed into a mini amusement park during the Lilac Festival. And this year the children’s rides and entertainment area features expanded offerings, including mini rides and a whole new selection of interactive inflatables.
The Children’s Entertainment Stage will offer a variety of acts and is being relocated closer to the rides, in an area called “The Kid Zone.” Musical acts include The Dinner Dogs, Gary the Happy Pirate, and The Magical John Show.
