THE GLASS ART OF DALE CHIHULY

WEDNESDAYS: MAY 2ND, 9TH, & 16TH @ 10-11 AM

Glass artist Dale Chihuly is known for his outstanding artistic creations made from blown glass. His creations include fascinating sculptures and chandeliers utilizing the technically difficult medium.

Students will learn about Chihuly’s work and his success, despite the multiple hardships he has endured. We will be creating our own Chihuly “glass” sculptures by cutting, melting, and painting plastic. Sculptures to include suncatchers, bowls, and/or chandeliers, as time allows. A variety of art media, vocabulary, and technique will be explored.

*Making reservations for classes at least 24 hours in advance is highly recommended to ensure you will have a seat. It will also enable our staff to be prepared to give you the best experience! Walk-ins and late registrations may be available at the studio’s discretion, though we cannot guarantee a spot after the 24 hour deadline.
