I have been a Bradley Method teacher since 1996. I have two children. My first was born by cesarean section and my second was born at home in a planned home birth. The two drastically different births and my additional experience as a doula (childbirth assistant) combined with my many years of teaching have given me a broad perspective on the work of preparing to birth and parent.

I know that each individual has a unique set of circumstances that influence their values and perspectives.  My class goals include providing evidence based information and an open and supportive environment for each individual to develop their own best plans for labor and beyond.

The Bradley curriculum is a comprehensive approach to a healthy pregnancy, a safe and satisfying birth and the smoothest transition possible for life as a new parent.  And besides that we have a great time in class!  Small class size allows for individual attention.  12 weeks of curriculum provides ample time to develop friendships and find and lend social support for the hard work of birth and parenting.  Though one of the important aspects of this course is on the partner's role, single mothers are equally welcome and encouraged to attend.  It does take a village... and you can start to connect to  your village in your Bradley class.
