Spring Nature Scavenger Hunt

Use your senses to explore the outdoors and complete a nature scavenger hunt with your family! Meet at the kiosk at Parking Lot #1 on Scout Road. The program is designed for children ages 5 and up. Preregistration is required by April 13th.
Twig Vases with the
Saratoga Springs Public Library

At the Library, decorate your own vase to take home with twigs and other natural elements found in spring. Preregistration is required by calling the Library at (518) 584-7860 option 3.

Participate in this citizen science program by learning about and surveying the amazing American woodcock. Following a presentation at the Park Office at 80 Scout Road about this unique bird, we will go on a short hike to try to hear the amazing mating flight and courtship ritual of any woodcocks that may be nearby. Space is limited and preregistration is required by April 17th.
Fish Stocking at Spa State Park

We will be joining in on the fun of the annual fish stocking of Geyser Creek! Visit our table and the tables of other local environmental organizations. Don’t forget to bring a bucket with you to get a fish to release!
Solar Power S’mores

Pavilion at Camp Saratoga South
Celebrate Earth Day by making a solar powered oven! Using recycled materials, create an oven that uses heat from the sun to melt s’mores. Meet at the pavilion across the road from Parking Lot #1 on Scout Road. Best for ages 8 and up. Preregistration is required by April 19th. Rain location will be at the Park Office at 80 Scout Road.

Join us for some fun nature-themed outdoor games. This program is designed for children ages 5 and up. Meet on the lawn by the pond across from Parking Lot #1 on Scout Road. Preregistration is required by April 20th
