Doc Scanlon’s Rhythm Boys
Audiences can’t resist the boogie-down feeling of classic tunes by Louis Jordan, Glenn Miller, Nat King Cole, The Temptations, Chuck Berry or Ray Charles-put a dance floor in front of this band and flying feet fill it. The Rhythm Boys’ signature sound is based on the hot horn section of Riff Baxter’s trumpet and Professor Paul’s tenor and alto sax, backed by the tight rhythms supplied by Don Young on guitar, Gene Garone on drums and Reggie "Doc" Scanlon on bass.
All the band members share smooth lead and harmony vocals on swinging jazz, raging rock and motivatin’ Motown which culminate in a powerful, punchy big sound.
All performances at Clifton Common Stage (next to basketball courts.)
Performances begin 7:00 p.m. rain or shine, unless otherwise noted. Lawn chairs are welcome.
