Cartwheels Academy Classes for 3- and 4-year-olds
Ages2-3 years 4-5 years
Now Enrolling for 2017 -2018!
Cartwheels Academy is a learning center for 3 and 4 year olds with an emphasis on physical activity. Not only do our students receive a well rounded academic education that will ensure their kindergarten readiness, but they also experience 30 minutes of structured physical activity in our gymnastics gym every day.
Why is the fitness based approach so crucial to the development of young children? Physical activity helps and enhances the learning experience. The CDC states, “Physical activity has an impact on cognitive skills, attitudes and academic behavior, all of which are important components of improved academic performance. ”
We strongly believe there is a link between physical activity and learning ability. Not only does exercise help the learning experience but the gymnastic related activities our students experience help them gain strength, coordination, spatial awareness and flexibility.
Cartwheels Academy is directed by Karen Muzio. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children in a nursery school setting for over 20 years. Karen is also is very experienced with childrens allergies after having a daughter with severe allergies herself. Our ratio is an 8:1 student to instructor. Tuition is $225 per month for our four year old three day program. $170 a month for our three year old two day program. There is an $35 Annual Registration Fee. A non-refundable $50 deposit is due at time of registration.
Classes run M/W/F for the 4’s and T/Th for the 3’s from 9:00am to 11:30am. Snacks are provided daily. Your child must turn 3 by September 1, 2017. We are currently setting up meetings with Karen. Email email@example.com if you’re interested in setting one up!
