Bethlehem Children’s School offers a multi-age experiential education for the whole child, emphasizing nature, wisdom and wellness. Our vision is to inspire a life-long love of learning while developing a deep connection to self, others and the world. Our wooded four-acre campus in Slingerlands contains a network of trails and outdoor learning spaces. We nurture our student's innate creativity and curiosity about the natural world with our early childhood STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) programming. More than 25% of our classroom space is devoted to STEAM education. Our curriculum is experiential and progressive, encouraging collaboration, kindness, and mindfulness. At the end of their time with us, students are ready to take on the challenges of middle school, high school, college, and our world. Regular school hours are 8:30 am – 3:00 pm. The school day continues to 5:30 pm. with our Aftercare program.

Bethlehem Children’s School offers year-round progressive education programs for children ages 2.5 through 1st grade. Our school year runs from September through June, and our Summer Camps run for 10 weeks. We have flexible scheduling options, with part-time, full-time and extended-day schedules available. During the school year, we provide after school enrichment programming that is open to our own students and students enrolled in other local schools (free-of-charge busing is provided directly from Slingerlands Elementary).

Our students spend ample time outdoors: hiking on our trails, playing on our playground, and learning in our gardens. We incorporate kindness and mindfulness curriculum into all of our classrooms. Throughout the year, we work on service projects with our students. Our vision is to inspire a life-long love of learning while building a deep connection to self, others, and the world.
