Annual Steampunk Festival: Enchanted City: A Steampunk Fair With Maker Flair

This free festival offers a family-friendly inspired day of music, games, performance, food and fantasy. Special events include a fashion show, historic tours, street performers and peddlers, storytelling, dancing, puppet shows, magic acts and more.

Adults and children are encouraged to come dressed in steampunk-themed costumes or as fairies.
Attendance has grown each year, from 1,000 in 2014 to 4,000 in 2015, and then 8,000 in 2016. Now that word has started to get out to the steampunk community at-large, expects more festivalgoers from farther afield this year. We've partnered with some key players in the entertainment and in the maker fields to create a unique experience that will draw festivalgoers from far and wide. There's a real buzz about The Enchanted City.
THE ENCHANTED CITY TO INCLUDE THE TROY MINI
MAKER FAIRE AGAIN THIS YEAR!
The Enchanted City has partnered with the Tech Valley Center of Gravity to sponsor a Troy "Mini Maker Faire" during the festival. Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, a "Maker Faire" is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. All of these "makers" come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have
learned.
The Troy Mini Maker Faire is licensed through Maker Faire, a program of "Maker Media," publishers of "Make: magazine."
