After-School Sculpture Class with artist Madison LaVallee. Starts January 18, 2017!

Wednesdays, 4:00 pm to 5:30
January 18, 25, February 1, 8, 15 and March 1

$90 for 6-week course including materials and snacks.

Open to kids in 4th Grade and up.

In this six-week class students will make a series of drawings and sculptures, inspired by artist Caroline Ramersdorfer’s current exhibition. Students will be guided through the process of drawing from observation, using the art work in the gallery as our primary drawing source. We will also make sculptures using wood, wire, and fabric, that mimic forms we see in the artist's work. Along with working on drawing and material usage skills, students will learn to engage, notice, and speak about the art around them.

About the teacher: Madison LaVallee holds an MFA Sculpture & Combined Media from University at Albany and a BFA in Drawing & Painting, as well as a BS in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz. She has taught kids’ classes at the Arts Center of the Capital Region and college-level classes at UAlbany.

You can register and pay by credit card online at the link below OR download the registration form and mail in a check. Space in the class is reserved when we receive payment.
