Chip's Landscaping is hosting a self-guided Saratoga County Water Garden Tour featuring 6 beautiful water gardens within a 15 mile radius.

The tour travels around downtown Saratoga Springs and then ends in Greenfield with a complimentary "after tour" barbequeonsite at Chip's Landscaping.

This unique tour allows you to see some beautiful water gardens at homes and locations around Saratoga. This year's garden sites boast pondless waterfalls, spillways, small, medium and large sized ponds, even a swimmable family pond! Landscape designs are unique to water gardens on this tour as the soothing, inspirational water becomes the focus.

This year: All the water gardens for the 2012 tour feature natural ecosystems, and you can expect to see fish and frogs along the way! Five of the six sites also boast rain water harvesting systems that boost the feature’s sustainability.

Proud water garden owners will be on site to showcase their water gardens, share their passion and answer any questions about their features. There will also be tour guides stationed at each site as well as "water garden etiquette" tips on your ticket. The 2012 Saratoga Water Garden Tour runs from 1:00-5:00pm.

The "After Tour" Barbeque at Chips Landscaping is located just 1 mile from the final water garden site and will offer hot dogs, hamburgers and other refreshments from 4:30-6:30pm. Also featured at the BBQ will be an exhibit by local artist Natalie Adler of Saratoga who creates stunning oil paintings inspired by the Saratoga region.

100% of ALL ticket sales for the 2012 Saratoga Water Garden Tour will benefit the Brookside Museum, home of the Saratoga County Historical Museum in Ballston Spa. The Brookside Museum is a non-profit organization that inspires community memory by telling the story of Saratoga County through engaging exhibits and interactive programs.
